Brighter Eyes Without Changing Who You Are

The eyes are often the first area where people notice facial aging.

Unfortunately, they are also one of the areas where subtle anatomical changes can have an outsized effect on how others perceive us.

A person who feels energetic may begin to look tired. A naturally pleasant expression can appear stern. The upper eyelid may begin to look heavier, while changes in surrounding facial support can make the entire eye area appear less open.

RE•LIFT® Eye rejuvenation focuses on creating a refreshed, natural appearance around the eyes while preserving individual facial identity.

Understanding the eyes

Why Eyes Begin to Look Older

The appearance of the eyes is influenced by far more than eyelid skin.

Brow position, tissue support, skin elasticity, facial volume, and the relationship between the upper cheek and lower eyelid all influence the appearance of the eye area.

This is why treating one isolated feature does not always produce the most natural result.

A RE•LIFT® consultation evaluates the eye area as part of the surrounding facial anatomy rather than treating it as an isolated feature.

The RE•LIFT® philosophy
Patients want to look less tired—not different.

The approach

Tired Eyes Aren't Always an Eyelid Problem

One of the most important questions during consultation is determining why the eye appears heavy.

For some patients, excess upper-eyelid tissue is the primary concern.

For others, brow descent contributes substantially to the appearance.

Still others experience changes involving the cheek and lower-eye transition.

Identifying the actual source of the problem helps avoid unnecessary treatment and allows the surgeon to design a more precise rejuvenation plan.

Real results

The RE•LIFT® Philosophy

RE•LIFT® procedures are based on restoring structural support while minimizing unnecessary disruption.

The goal is not to create dramatically altered eyes.

It is to restore the openness, definition, and balance that previously existed.

Patients frequently tell aesthetic surgeons that they want to look less tired—not different.

That is precisely the philosophy behind natural facial rejuvenation.

What Eye Rejuvenation May Address

Depending upon anatomy and surgeon recommendation, treatment may help improve heaviness around the upper eye, hooding associated with brow descent, loss of definition, age-related tissue descent surrounding the eye, and imbalance between the eyes and surrounding facial structures.

In some cases, additional eyelid procedures may be recommended when skin or other tissue requires direct treatment.

RE•LIFT® is not intended to replace every form of eyelid surgery. Instead, the appropriate treatment is selected based upon the actual anatomical cause of the concern.

Why Structural Support Matters

Temporary cosmetic treatments can improve wrinkles and restore volume, but they cannot always address tissue that has physically descended.

When structural changes become the dominant cause of an aged appearance, surgical repositioning may provide a more appropriate solution.

RE•LIFT® was developed for patients seeking a longer-lasting approach to facial rejuvenation while avoiding unnecessarily extensive surgery whenever possible.

Good to know

Recovery and Treatment Experience

Appropriate RE•LIFT® procedures may be performed under local anesthesia.

The treatment plan, anesthesia approach, procedure duration, and recovery expectations depend on the areas being treated and the individual patient.

Temporary swelling and bruising around the eye area are possible following treatment.

Creating Facial Balance

Eye rejuvenation is frequently evaluated alongside the brow and cheek.

Elevating a descended cheek, for example, can improve the relationship between the lower eyelid and midface. Correcting brow descent may reduce heaviness above the eye.

The best treatment is therefore not necessarily the one that treats the greatest number of areas.

It is the one that correctly identifies which structures are responsible for what you see in the mirror.

RE•LIFT® Eye FAQs

What patients ask first.

Will my eyes look different after treatment?

The objective is rejuvenation rather than changing the natural shape or character of your eyes.

Can RE•LIFT® replace blepharoplasty?

Not in every patient. Some concerns originate from surrounding tissue descent, while others require direct eyelid treatment. Your surgeon determines which approach is appropriate.

Can my brow and eyes be treated together?

Yes. These areas are closely related anatomically and are often evaluated together.

Can I have other facial areas treated at the same time?

Potentially. RE•LIFT® procedures may be customized to address multiple facial areas when clinically appropriate.
